Everything starts in our R&D lab. This is where we solve real-world problems. For example, our partners in Africa kept telling us, "The infrastructure here is tough. Networks are spotty. We need something that can punch through miles of bush or concrete."

We install the speaker, the PTT (Push-to-Talk) button, and the screen. For the PG-60, this stage includes extra steps for waterproofing. We add specialized silicone seals and gaskets. We are famous (or maybe infamous) for our QC. Before a radio gets boxed, it goes through what I like to call the "Torture Chamber."
1. Frequency Calibration: Every radio is hooked up to a spectrum analyzer. If it’s supposed to hit 5 Watts, it better hit 5 Watts. No excuses.
2. The Drop Test: We literally drop them. Repeatedly.
3. The Aging Room: We leave the radios on and transmitting in a high-temperature room to make sure the components don't cook themselves.
4. Waterproof Testing: For the PG-60, we submerge them. If a single bubble comes out, the whole batch gets re-inspected.
